Monique Goubin, known by her moniker Monica, has been a prominent figure in the Parisian fashion scene since her early inspirations in the 1940s. Born in 1943, Monica's journey into the world of design was ignited by the elegance of her mother's floral dresses, which captivated her imagination from the tender age of seven.

Fueled by her childhood dreams, Monica's passion for fashion continued to blossom throughout her teenage years, where she would spend hours sketching satin jackets in her bedroom. Her formal education at the prestigious l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris provided her with the necessary foundation to turn her dreams into reality.

Monica's career took flight when she secured her first stylist position at Vager-Nastat Real, a boutique renowned for dressing icons like Brigitte Bardot. In 1971, she took the bold step of launching her eponymous brand, Monica, which quickly gained recognition for its original, timeless, and ultra-feminine designs.

Her creative journey led her to Charles X, an exclusive venue near the Champs-Élysées, where she catered to an elite clientele that included international celebrities like Caroline de Monaco and Jacqueline Bisset. Monica's distinctive tailoring and bustier dresses graced the runways, adorning supermodels such as Ines de la Fressange and Farida Khelfa.
